Yes, there’s still stuff over on Timetable

A quiet week on the site in general but since we all know how much our readers love getting ready for the weekend…

Sam’s post says it’s been up since yesterday, but for some reason it wasn’t showing up. Well it’s there now. His picks luckily includes Saturday’s show at The Bottletree (which we happen to be sponsoring – though Sam didn’t know that yet Smile)

Christina’s “Got Plans?” post is scheduled for an 8:45 a.m. appearance over on our arts and culture blog. Check them both out and don’t forget to comment on them if there’s something we didn’t list. Of course, you could always submit the event for inclusion on our calendar too…

Don’t forget to come on out and check out Saturday’s show and check in with your favorite hub while you’re there.

We want answers (and to plug Sam’s column)

First of all, if you haven’t checked them out, Sam’s musical picks for the weekend are up over on Timetable.

Second, I was wondering, considering that our current Magic City Question is by far one of the most visited ones in the site’s short history, why don’t we have more responses? So I’m blatantly putting another link to it here to see if I can drum up some more responses before I share one tomorrow morning. Click on the link below to answer the question.

How can you be responsible for Birmingham’s reputation?

One more thing, we’re finally going to make an announcement tomorrow about changes for the coming year on the site. Don’t worry, it’s a good thing… (at least, we think so)

So it’s a little chilly outside…

… eventually we’ll be talking about how hot it is outside. That will then lead to talk of where to go so you can sit outdoors and enjoy the weather.

Charles decided that this would be a pretty good topic for today’s In Love With column.  Don’t forget to share your ideas us about places to sit outside to dine al fresco.

What’s up on Timetable

We’ve been quiet about the happenings over on Timetable this week, being a Spring Break week and all…

Sam’s musical picks for the weekend are up as are Christina’s suggestions for Easter weekend.

In Love With took the week off ( we think they’ll be back next week – they may add that second week of vacation on now as opposed to this summer).

We’re also wondering with the announcement of The Roots for City Stages 20, we’d have to tie it into our current Magic City Question

Click on over and let us know what you think.

Enjoy the weekend!

Skylines and lineups

That’s what you’ll find over on Timetable during this first part of the week.

Charles shares his thoughts about the skyline that he’s In Love With.

And we figured with so many folks talking about ShamRock this weekend that the least we could do is provide the lineup with links to their MySpace pages or websites so you know what to expect.

We figured you were all really busy reading Kyle’s NY Times story anyway (you were, weren’t you). We’ll play catch up later this evening.

It’s getting interesting over there…

Rewriting code is not all it’s cracked up to be – resulting in one of those classic “slowdown” periods for us. Luckily, the folks over on our Timetable section keep it going. Thanks to all who’ve taken a moment to offer their comments about Terri’s column – we’re asking that you click here to share your thoughts on “lost Birmingham” over on Magic City Question. Sam’s picks for the week are ready over on Timetable right now in case you haven’t already seen them.

Christina’s picks for the weekend are up and ready to go as well – be sure to read up on this weekend’s Art Bash!

What do you miss in Birmingham?

That’s a question asked by our own Terri Dann in this week’s “In Love With” column over on Timetable. It’s also the basis of our current Magic City Question. There’s a second part to this – check out the question over on MCQ and let us know your thoughts.
