Well, for those of you who missed all of the election coverage from Friday:
- Alabama State Representative Mary Moore announced that she was not running for mayor of Birmingham, despite calls for her to enter the race and signs appearing on the city’s West side. According to a report from The Birmingham News , she’ll be thanking folks for considering her on Tuesday morning.
- Meanwhile, Birmingham City Councilor Steven Hoyt decided to throw his name into the mix, wanting to run on a platform of expanding economic development efforts throughout the city.
- The Birmingham Business Alliance has announced plans to hold their own mayoral forum, the third one to be announced so far; it’s scheduled to take place on November 30 at the Alabama School of Fine Arts beginning at 6 p.m. and focus on economic development issues.
