But there are plans for the weekend…

This is where we’d run the really cool lede for Christina’s weekend plans column. However, if we did that this week, the column just wouldn’t make any sense if you forwarded it on to your friends (and you are doing that aren’t you?)

Anyway, check it out over on Timetable and you’ll figure out why the Big Guy atop Red Mountain, Harry Potter and jazz can be mentioned in the same breath this week…

Time to get out the white shoes

Here it is, Memorial Day weekend. Down South here, I’ve learned that means head to the lake. Or beach. Any type of body of water will do. And while it will be a little quieter around town this weekend, that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to do.

So put on your white shoes and head on over to Timetable read on. And keep the comments coming.

A little give and take this weekend…

This week, I’m keeping it simple. I’ve got 3 things to do — one each for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Sure, it’s not all that there is to do this weekend. That’s what the comment box is for. I’ll share my plans with you over on Timetable, you share your plans with me. We all have fun.

Don’t forget to check out Sam’s musical picks as well.

Time to get ready for the weekend…

Can it be? The weekend already? Where does the time go? That’s a very interesting question and it seems to have many answers. Google the phrase and you get 353,000,000 search results. While you pass the time pondering that, I’ve got suggestions on how you can spend your weekend over on Timetable.

It’s not like we’ll melt this weekend…

Looks like we may get some weather this weekend. Well, I won’t melt, and I’m guessing you won’t either so head on over to Timetable for my suggestions, rain or shine.

Music and festivals on tap for the weekend

Sam and Christina have pretty much figured out how they’re spending the weekend. While we’re still about a couple of weeks away from the music festival season starting in Birmingham, they’ve figured out a good way to do both before hand. Sam’s got some musical picks starting tonight while Christina’s suggestions for activities start tomorrow. Check out their suggestions and then share your own

It’s getting interesting over there…

Rewriting code is not all it’s cracked up to be – resulting in one of those classic “slowdown” periods for us. Luckily, the folks over on our Timetable section keep it going. Thanks to all who’ve taken a moment to offer their comments about Terri’s column – we’re asking that you click here to share your thoughts on “lost Birmingham” over on Magic City Question. Sam’s picks for the week are ready over on Timetable right now in case you haven’t already seen them.

Christina’s picks for the weekend are up and ready to go as well – be sure to read up on this weekend’s Art Bash!
