So, Ken found us

Long-time residents of Birmingham and fans of Beaner and Ken may be wondering if the voice of Vulcan the Merman in the Shark and Ray video series created by Provenance Digital Media for McWane Science Center sounds familiar for a reason…

tk-tmp-logo-signatureWell, we’ll answer this another way… This morning we got an email from Ken thanking us for posting the screenshot and link from the Beaner and Ken website last May and letting us know about his new gig he started two weeks ago in his new Southern hometown – Columbia, SC.

Accoding to Ken, the new Tyler and Ken Show (the blog’s up, the website’s coming) is doing really well and it’s available via audio stream at New 92 Country’s (yes, country’s) website. They’re also working on their own site.

We also think you’ll appreciate this note from Ken – after the jump that is… Continue reading

Thank you, Birmingham!

We’ve been rather quiet today, perhaps being a little too retrospective for our own good. But I want to do three things right now…

1) Thank all of you who’ve read us for the past two years (I’ll drop a note to consider supporting us some other ways too).

2) Thank those who’ve written for us in the past as well as our current contributors: Bob Farley, Josh Self, Jason Donaldson, Gordon Bell and when available, Terri (Dann) Osborne.

3) Announce that while our anniversary is tomorrow, our anniversary happy hour will be on Thursday, March 26 at The Bottletree. We’ll have more info on Monday. We’ll have a couple of other announcements then as well.

4) Make sure you head on over to Timetable this afternoon and check out Jason’s picks (and add your own to them).

A thank you from the hub!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank the 140 people that came out and showed some love for the hub last night at The Bottletree (some of whom are pictured above)!

I also want to thank all of the bands that performed last night as well as Christopher Davis, the staff at The Bottletree, Travis Morgan of Skybucket Records for setting up our line up and Adam Stoves for his poster design.

We’ll be sharing photos from Saturday night both here on the site (link to follow) as well as on our page on Facebook both later day and tomorrow. I’d invite you to do the same either by submitting your photos to photos@bhamterminal.com or if you have a Facebook profile by adding them to our page’s fan album.

BTW – No matter where you were, we want to know how much fun was it last night?
