The folks over at the local independent internet radio station are looking for DJs. They still have some of their old personalities, but they’re looking for new voices as they begin what we’re assuming is a relaunch in the near future.
Head on over to their site, look around and get in contact with them if you’re interested. Of course you can always visit their MySpace page (or visit others using our Magic City MySpace Directory). You may want to listen to them too (just saying!).

Some folks forget that we have a farmers market that’s been open daily in town for years. If you’re wide awake and you’re wondering what to do this morning before the heat settles in again today, you may want to head over to the Alabama Farmers Market (344 Finley Avenue) and enjoy their second annual Family & Friends Festival.
If you read this a little later in the morning, you’ve got until 1 p.m. to get over there to enjoy free hot dogs, chips & sodas, live music, food samples, grilling demonstrations, kids activities… (taking breath), and the best tasting tomato & heaviest tomato contests.

For those looking for a quieter way to spend this evening than our first two options, check out this post over on Timetable so you can find out where you can see this artwork.
Good afternoon everybody.
I’ve resisted doing this mainly because encouraging discussion about issues is a main goal of The Terminal. However, recent comments that have been submitted have led me to begin moderating all comments prior to their being posted effective immediately.

Yes, for those of you that have noticed the big crane atop Red Mountain this morning, there is a new sign joining Vulcan and the transmission towers today. WBRC’s red neon glow will now be joined in the coming days by an NBC peacock courtesy of our local affiliate station.
They did tell us that it was going to happen sooner or later (and we mentioned it in this post). The word from the station during their midday broadcast was that it would be turned on by next week. What do you think about this change from atop the city?
