Fried Green Radio’s alive!

Fried Green Radio LogoThe folks over at the local independent internet radio station are looking for DJs. They still have some of their old personalities, but they’re looking for new voices as they begin what we’re assuming is a relaunch in the near future.

Head on over to their site, look around and get in contact with them if you’re interested. Of course you can always visit their MySpace page (or visit others using our Magic City MySpace Directory). You may want to listen to them too (just saying!).

Fresh food aplenty today

Some folks forget that we have a farmers market that’s been open daily in town for years. Magic City Question: The sign’s going up today

Yes, for those of you that have noticed the big crane atop Red Mountain this morning, there is a new sign joining Vulcan and the transmission towers today. WBRC’s red neon glow will now be joined in the coming days by an NBC peacock courtesy of our local affiliate station.

They did tell us that it was going to happen sooner or later (and we mentioned it in this post). The word from the station during their midday broadcast was that it would be turned on by next week. What do you think about this change from atop the city?
