St. Vincent’s ad campaign revealed

If you really thought about it, you figured that the “What Do You Believe In” campaign had to be tied to a hospital. It was hard for someone not to think that someone would try to replicate Brookwood Medical Center’s Hello Life campaign from last year. We just didn’t think it would be so soon.

What’s good enough for Obama…

Doc’s Political Parlor has posted about Bill Clinton’s planned “small donor” event now scheduled during his return trip to Birmingham. It sounds eerily similar to Barack Obama’s event earlier this month where he raised an estimated $50,000. (photos from the event)

This of course while Fred Thompson prepares to participate in a private $1,000 per couple fundraising event this evening (as reported on al.com) at the Mountain Brook home of Jim Cooper, owner of Cooper Construction Company.

Blogs for Fred Thompson points out an article currently available on New York Magazine’s website about the potential Republican presidential candidate. It’s definitely going to be an interesting race, especially now that we’re a “swing state”.

We’ve been quiet all weekend

We’re getting ready to return to regular posting shortly, after a long weekend of upgrades and failed attempts at creating features for the staff to use.

There is one feature that we’re going to invite you to use – or at least help with – next week we will attempt to roll out our new photoblog. Of course, in order to do that, we need photos.

Hand in Paw at Art on the Rocks tonight

hand in paw logoThis month’s focus for Art on the Rocks will be American, with music by Indigenous. There’s more information about tonight’s event on the event’s official webpage.

Hand In Paw therapy teams will be there to greet you at the door, and Picasso Pets artwork (for their upcoming art auction in August) will be featured in the Sonat Gallery. They’re asking that if you decide to come to stop by and vote for your favorite piece. You may also want to keep in mind their Paws on the Patio events, running through September 24.

Let them know that you heard about it through The Terminal and don’t forget about letting us know about the pictures you take tonight!

Share your Art on the Rocks & Potter release photos with us!

We tried to do this last month for Art on the Rocks, but realized that we didn’t exactly send it out in timely fashion (not that we’re that much earlier this time).

We just want to help you share your photos from Art on the Rocks as well as the various Harry Potter release parties planned for tonight. Rather than write the guidelines over again, we figured we’d just have you go to our last post about it and look at them there.

The only difference for the Harry Potter images is that we want you to use the tag hpotterbham07 with bhamterminal.

That’s it. We’re looking forward to seeing what might come in (and to letting you know about another way to submit photos in the near future).

Thanks.
