A rainbow graced the Birmingham area this morning. At times it formed a faint second rainbow, but that one did not last long. The main rainbow lasted for more than a half an hour. The photo was taken looking southwest toward downtown from the Roebuck area.

The word is that residents in Jefferson and Shelby Counties should be expecting to see about 1 ½ inches of the white stuff when they wake up in the morning. It’s a little ironic, considering it’s almost the 15th anniversary of The Blizzard of ‘93. Maybe we’ll see some more images like this one up above.

A little winter

A little snow and ice fell around the Magic City Wednesday. Not much to get excited about but enough to remind us it is winter. Tonight’s lows are not going to get below freezing so no need to stock up on bread and milk.
