Women entrepreneurs, take note…

The Central Alabama Women’s Business Center¬†(CAWBC) is still accepting applications for the The Elizabeth Conwell Schlarb Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs‘ Scholarship Fund – until this Friday, February 27 at 5:30 p.m.!

The funds are available for those women business owners in Central Alabama who’ve been in business for at least three years.¬†Applicants may use the money to pay for one or more courses at a two or four year college or for entrepreneurial education and professional development.

Applications can be obtained at the CAWBC’s website or by contacting Noelle Gaspard at 205-453-0249 and/or noelle@cawbc.org.

United Way launches new campaign, blog

For those of you that missed the launch of the United Way of Central Alabama‘s Live United campaign last week Thursday on top of the former Kress Building in downtown Birmingham, you can still keep up with their plans through their new blog, Living United.

This is the latest grassroots movement for emerging leaders to emerge here in Birmingham so check it out, find out how to get involved and let them know what you think.
