So, as of 10:05am this morning, 100.5 is now Live100.5, Birmingham’s modern music complete with an opening setlist featuring REM’s Radio Free Europe (because that’s modern, in a classical sense) and Death Cab for Cutie’s I Will Possess Your Heart.

New 100.5FM format drops at 10:05 Friday AM

Scott Register of Reg’s Coffee House posted a note on his Facebook profile at 6:01 p.m. this evening (Monday) letting folks know that he’s doing a special edition of the popular radio show this Friday, August 15, from 7 a.m. – 10:05 a.m (clever).

According to the post, the new station format will be unveiled at the end of the broadcast.

We’ll just have to stay tuned…
