What’s BiCiCoop?

We’re hoping that you heard about last week’s fundraising effort for BiciCoop on Valentine’s Day. We’re also hoping you’ve heard of this effort born in Birmingham’s cycling community. If you haven’t yet, you’ve got a chance next week (February 26 at 7 p.m.) to learn some more about what they do courtesy of a community interest meeting at Nomad Supply Shop (916 23rd Street South). This may finally be Birmingham’s equivalent to Bikestations on the West Coast.

We figured that since some of you are going to watch the mayor’s remarks online this afternoon about the civic center expansion (read: 1 p.m.) that you may want to know about some of the remarks Larry Langford made this morning during the unveiling of the recently remodeled Burger-Phillips Building in Birmingham’s city center (photos are coming).
