Earlier this week, Patrick Cooper commented on our coverage of William Bell and Carole Smitherman having MySpace pages. He mentioned his own website, which was the first site up on the web among the candidates. He also pointed out his existence on Facebook for the last month.
Mr. Cooper does in fact have a Facebook group, named for the mayoral campaign and administered by the campaign’s volunteer coordinator. It currently has 73 members. Here is a link to the group. NOTE: You must have a Facebook profile in order to view the group page.
We have provided links to existing web pages/sites for the candidates after the jump:

UPDATE: 9.17.2007 - We now have an updated page of web presence information available on our election coverage site. We were unable to find websites for Willie Hendrix or Barry Taylor. We’ll be expanding on this coverage beginning next week as we unveil our Election 2007 website. Stay tuned for another announcement pertaining to that section to be posted shortly.

Some of the candidates need to realize that neglecting your campaign website only a few shorts months before election time looks like a half hearted attempt at running for office. Judging by the websites, only Cooper, Kincaid, and Brooks take the race serious enough to put up a good website.

Wow. I have to echo Jarrod. Those websites, sans Cooper, Brooks, and possibly Kincaid, are miscarriages of web design and functionality. How can one take a candidate seriously when he or she fails to utilize one of the most powerful mediums for spreading information?
