Last week five of the six major candidates sat down with me for interviews. Now we’re going to share their answers with you this week (and let you hear them).

We will post their answers to two (2) questions each weekday through Friday, September 21. We will then share the transcript of those interviews at the end of the week.

We will also be uploading the answers to two additional questions (one submitted by you, the other a question we as the staff felt it was important to ask) on their profile pages, which we hope to have completed by tomorrow (Tuesday) Monday afternoon, September 24.

You get a chance to comment on their words, and they’ll get to see it. They may even comment back. Our hope is that you see this as a way to reach out and have a real dialogue about the issues.

We also hope that if you haven’t already registered to vote that you’ll click on the link to download the state form and submit it in time to make sure your voice is heard in this important election for the city of Birmingham.
