Talking At The Launch Party

Approximately 100 people came out to The Bottletree last night to celebrate the launch of this very website. We’d like to take a second to thank all of you that came out and those that sent along well wishes. We’ve already posted information about the door prize winners. Now we have to make sure that people find out about the other purpose of the event.

HopeLine

We were able to collect approximately 20 used cell phones for Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program. If you’re not familiar with this program, find out some more on Tuesday when we debut a new section of the site. In the meantime, if you wanted to hand in a phone last night but you were not able to, please know that you can take your used phones to any Verizon Wireless store in the Birmingham metropolitan area. Click here to learn more about the program and to find the location closest to you.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama

We collected $233 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (and we did get soda pop tabs too). For those of you that wanted to give but were either unable to attend or not able to give last night, please click here to find out how you can get your donation to them directly.

We hope to do more events like this one quarterly, though we may throw in an occasional meet and greet just for the fun of it. Stay tuned to our calendar to see when we do.
