We’re in the process of opening up some new sections of The Terminal that were "under construction" this evening and tomorrow. The first of those sections is the Magic City MySpace Directory.

MySpace has become one of the most used forms of viral networking in recent memory. We’re in the process of starting to use it ourselves; check it out if you haven’t yet (and be our friend! Smiley).

Several organizations and businesses here in Birmingham use it as the primary way to communicate with their audience already.

We figured that one of the best things we could to do is to provide a one-stop shop for people looking Birmingham, Alabama’s MySpace presence. The idea comes from a similar effort started by our managing editor on his personal blog some time ago.

We’ve created what we believe is the nation’s first city-specific MySpace directory, currently containing 125 profiles associated with area businesses and organizations. There are already more to be added to the list in the coming days and we’re more than sure that there are more than those on the list.

If you’re aware of any business or non-profit organization that has a MySpace profile and they are not currently listed, please drop a line to timetable@bhamterminal.com.

We plan to update the list every Thursday. We hope you enjoy the service!
