Painting not your special someone’s idea of fun? Try dancing on Saturday night. Not just any dancing … the Tango. Before you whine about not being able to dance, that’s the point. It’s a one-time lesson (guys, you can do one lesson!) taught by Jackie Talley at the Children’s Dance Foundation from 7-9:30 p.m. Space is limited so call RIGHT NOW – 870-0073.

While you’re enjoying dancing, dessert and drinks, you also be supporting the not-for-profit that provides quality community programs to students of all ages and abilities. What I call a win-win. No painting and no dancing? Does your honey like music? Because the area’s top professional jazz players take to the stage at Samford University’s Brock Hall Sunday afternoon. It’s SuperJazz and so on my list of things to do. Cost is $5. The event could be kid-friendly, depending on the kid. Don’t take offense because you know what I mean. Samford is located at 800 Lakeshore Drive.
