Tonight’s your last chance to hear from our 2008 presidential candidates directly as they take part in their last scheduled debate, this time from Hofstra University in New York. If you’re looking for somewhere to watch the events unfold besides sitting in your own home, we’ve had two options submitted to The Hub. One option takes you over to The Bottletree where you can watch the debate on the big screen and following it up with what promises to be an incredible performance by Leeds, England’s own The Wedding Present (with Teen Getaway and The Jealous Girlfriends opening).
You may also want to consider watching with the Birmingham Metro Area Young Democrats at Matthew’s Bar and Grill on Morris Avenue (complete with debate bingo). The main event starts at 8 p.m. and we were just wondering where you’ll be watching tonight?

Why else would we make sure that you know about free ice cream day and free pancake day? Today we’re making sure you know about free doughnut day. The first Friday in June is always National Doughnut Day.
So you’ve just finished seeing the unveiling of a 9′ tall Blaze the Dragon (if you haven’t, we think we’ll have photos shortly) and you’re feeling like an ice cream cone. Yes, we know it’s in the high 50s but it is springtime…
