The Innocents & Mayoral results party, Rojo

Rojo’s offering anyone who voted for mayor free chips and salsa! The guys from Steak Verhoeven will also be showing The Innocents (1961) starring Deborah Kerr, directed by Jack Clayton, in the side room beginning at 7:30 p.m.

From the email announcing tomorrow’s movie:

In late 19th century England, an inexperienced young woman (Kerr) becomes governess to a small orphan girl living in a lonely stately home occupied only by the child, a housekeeper and a small complement of servants. Her initial misgivings allayed by the child’s angelic nature, her anxieties are once more aroused when the girl’s brother, equally captivating, is sent home from boarding school for wickedness of some unspecified kind…

Got plans this weekend?

Sure it’s the big race weekend in Talladega. But we know that not everyone’s eyes will be on the first Car of Tomorrow run at the superspeedway. There is a ton of “cultural” stuff to do around town Saturday and Sunday. Here’s just the ones we know about. We miss something? Share the 411 with an e-mail to info@bhamterminal.com.
