That was the internal name for the “orange sign” contest that we recently attempted. We received one entry for the contest from Rod Needham (that’s it up above), at which time we learned that because of changing servers last week, folks may have found it difficult to submit their entries. BTW, Rod’s submission, which will be uploaded to the set by this afternoon, said that he thinks of “precipitation” when he thinks of Birmingham… You’ll have to read his entry. That said, I figured we’d reopen the contest, starting… NOW! NOTE: It closes on Thursday, March 12, at 5 p.m.

I’ll be honest; the idea behind doing the contest was to get folks talking about Birmingham from every angle, positive and negative, as we get ready to celebrate The Terminal’s 2nd anniversary (that would be next Saturday, March 14 and yes, I’m still wondering what to think about that too).
There are no big plans for that, though we’ll think of something to let you know of before the close of business today. What we are going to do is invite you to get an orange sign (I’m at o kafés! today or you can download it), enjoy this gorgeous weather they’re promising us for the weekend and share what this city means to you with us – and everybody else.
