Birmingham’s IN crowd was at Vulcan Park despite the bad weather last night to celebrate the release of the IN book, compiled nominations from more than 4,000 people through the CVB’s INBirmingham.org website or one of the 50 boxes located throughout metro Birmingham. The book contains 224 IN spots separated organized in the following categories: dining, coffee & confections, nightlife, shopping, arts & entertainment, attractions and events. Hundreds of people came out and sampled food and beverages from some of the nominated spots in (including beer from Good People Brewing Co., pizza from Cosmo’s and Ginger Margaritas from Bottletree) and dance lessons from Steppers and Walkers.

The books will be available at area Books-A-Million locations and The Alabama Booksmith for $9.99.

I am a big supporter of the IN campaign, but I don't understand why you can't view the winners on the CVB website. It's so perfectly Birmingham to think that we're all out there clamoring to buy the book.
