UFL logoA few weeks ago, we posted about the attempts by the United Football League to have fans vote to determine if we’d get one of their eight charter franchises. The vote was supposed to be based on people paying to reserve season tickets. They’ve now decided to make it more of an issue about civic pride and fan support. Following the jump are the steps necessary to place your “vote” about whether or not you want to see pro football on Friday nights. We’d be able to claim to be one of the few cities that could boast year-round football.

I’ve got a few thoughts about it in today’s post over on my Birmingham.

Here are the steps (according to information provided by the league):

Step 1:
Go to http://www.ticketreserve.com and click on Register Now in the upper-right hand corner.

Step 2:
Fill out all necessary fields, enter the promo code (UFLBIRM) in the promo code field, click submit and then check your email to validate your account.

Step 3:
To see your free FanFORWARD reservation, login at TicketRESERVE, click the My TicketRESERVE tab and check your Holdings.

Step 4:
If your city is chosen for the 2008 UFL season, your reservation goes towards the cost of your 2008 season ticket.
