The coworking movement seems to be picking up steam here in metro Birmingham. It’s a fairly loose and casual way to get together and work. This week you’ve got two chances to venture out to Homewood’s Cool Beans Coffee House (recently purchased by the owners of downtown Birmingham’s Java and Jams) to work with others. Thursday morning you can head over and work with Coworking Birmingham starting at 9 a.m.; on Friday, you can head on over there and work all day with “members” of Birmingham Jelly starting at 10. While the first group meets occasionally, the Birmingham Jelly meets weekly. Both groups maintain presence on Facebook, so you can always start to follow them to know what’s next.
