#bhamchat is an online conversation about Birmingham, AL by Birmingham, AL held every Tuesday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. CT.

It is based on the popular #journchat hosted by @PRSarahEvans. #bhamchat is believed to be the first chat on Twitter dedicated to focusing on issues taking place in a single city in the United States.

The first #bhamchat was held on June 23, 2009.
