This will be the latest ecoscape put in place in Birmingham, Alabama. The Southern Environmental Center at Birmingham Southern College has installed ecoscapes in six other locations throughout the city (map). The dedication of this new location adjacent to The McCoy Center for Community Service will take place just before a visioning session begins at the future home of the Alabama Gospel Music Cultural Arts Center. The center recently had it’s first fundraiser as described in this Timetable calendar entry.

Go Tell It; A center is born tonight

The event is being held in conjunction with the announcement of the creation of the Alabama Gospel Music Cultural Arts Center. The center is the outgrowth of efforts to renovate and utilize the former McCoy United Methodist facility, located across the street from Birmingham-Southern College by the McCoy Center for Community Service.
