
A community forum to be held on May 21 at Birmingham’s Five Points West Library will focus on concerns about recent changes made to Jefferson County’s indigent healthcare practices and what can be done to fix the issue.

This year the folks at CommuteSmart are mixing it up – sort of. They’re basically still asking you to Bike to Work on May 10, though the actual group ride and festivities won’t take place until the end of the day. Sounds like a good compromise (and it’s supposed to be gorgeous).

Details are finally starting to be unveiled about the Ruben Studdard Celebration Weekend set for this November. It includes plans for a marathon route that would be contained within the city limits of Birmingham, AL.
