In case you couldn’t make it to this morning’s ONB breakfast briefing to check out the presentation made by the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham about the possible new bus circulator service, we thought we’d bring the video to you:

For additional information, you’ll want to visit the In Town Transit Partnership’s website.

We can get this–and more–if we all keep up the pressure on elected officials and spread the word to others.

Thanks for posting the link, Andre. I’m sharing it further tonight!

Don’t we already have something similar to this with the DART system? Does it still run?

We do and we don’t… As their video explains, the new system would run every 5-10 minutes and serve as the basis of a new regional system. The current DART service could be seen as a support arm of the existing system.

its about time B’ham moved into the 21st century. the plan shown in the video is very much in keeping with even some international cities sustainability infrastructure and should encourage increase patronage of the downtown area, which is much needed.

Very cool. If this turns out anything like the video, Birmingham would be much better for it.
