That really shouldn’t come as a big surprise to most folks here in Birmingham, AL. We tied with seven other cities for the honor of the 4^th most sports obsessed city in the United States. The other folks with that honor of having 62% of their residents as “very interested” in sports according to the Nielsen report: Green Bay/Appleton, WI; Providence/New Bedford, RI; Denver, CO; Rochester, NY; Louisville, KY; Cleveland/Akron, OH; and San Antonio, TX.

So who’s #1? Well, 66% of Columbus, Ohio’s residents are rabid sports fans apparently.
