I’ll admit that I remember doing Da Butt (insert synthesizers) back in 1987 when I was in elementary school. I still haven’t seen Brock and the guys from Perpetual Groove perform live since I moved to Birmingham from Savannah, despite seeing the Mystery Machine cruising around town. I’ve got this really cool photo of Preston Lovinggood jamming on a guitar from an impromptu Wild Sweet Orange show in front of Speakeasy during Sidewalk two years ago. Satan and Adam‘s music is just incredible. And we haven’t even talked about the other shows in town, including our own.

This is by far one of the most difficult weekends for music fans in the Magic City in some time, with Saturday being particularly hard in terms of making a decision. It probably makes some folks long for a shuttle bus and an all access pass so they can get a taste of all of the options. We’re hoping that you’ll come out and support The Terminal and these great local acts by coming out to The Bottletree tomorrow night. It is one way to show your continued support for the site, though there are other ways.

That said if we don’t see you Saturday, we hope that you’ll head out to one of the other incredible performances taking place (some of which are listed in our current e-newsletter – sign up so you don’t miss the next one) or make sure that one friend of yours that always says that there’s nothing to do is aware of all of the options available to them. Any attempts to complain about nothing to do (at least musically) will be met with extreme frustration by me (and quite possibly a few others). If nothing else, just think of supporting this night of options as supporting what you want to see in Birmingham.
