WJOX\'s new logo - radio station\'s websiteUPDATE, 3;45 p.m., 7.23.2008: Word’s come in from Scott Register himself that Reg’s Coffee House will be broadcasting from 100.5 FM beginning this Sunday, July 27. Spread the word!

If you haven’t figured it out, WJOX has shifted its FM frequency to the spot formerly occupied by Y94.5 FM. While the site had not been completely redirected as of yet, the sports station’s website has already been rebranded complete with a redesigned station logo. We’re still not quite sure what’s going to happen to the frequency that once housed The X; it appears that they don’t know either as tuning your radio to the station (if you still do that) points you to a spot where signals sound like they’re crossed right now.

You got to love the Birmingham Radio Musical Chairs. Every time you hit a radio preset its like a little surprise you never know what station will be there.
  • The rumor I heard from a Family member that works for Clear Channel *shudder* here in town is that WSPZ (The sports monster) will be moving to 100.5...

Yes, two freaking sports channels on the FM dial from the same company...
  • There's one problem with that 3choBoomer, the 100.5 FM frequency is currently owned by Citadel and not ClearChannel.

We'll have to wait and see if the station will be sold...
  • Dave(not that one, the other o
Citadel owns both JOX and SPZ. I think i heard SPZ will go completely National Syndicated now. Don't know about an FM move though.

About that new JOX logo. Did Larry Langford design it?
  • Dre,

Should have been more clear.. My family member works for Clear Channel, and she heard that Citadel was doing that with 100.5...

    Who knows though..
