We have just learned what streets will be closed in advance of tomorrow’s scheduled implosion of the Parliament House Hotel.

Birmingham Police Department will be closing the following streets at approximately 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

20^th Street South from 3^rd Avenue to 6^th Avenue South;

4^th Avenue South from 19^th Street to 21^st Street South;

5^th Avenue South from 19^th Street to 21^st Street South^.

The implosion will not take place if there is severe wind or heavy rain. It’s scheduled to happen at 7 a.m. Weather forecast models suggest that the event will be finished in advance of severe weather currently expected to reach town by lunchtime tomorrow.
