Well, maybe it’s a little cold down there, but two UAB marine biologists have been recognized with their own island (at least it’s named for them) thanks to a nomination from a colleague. The Montgomery Advertiser has this story about the Amslers and the recent designation made by the The U.S. Board of Geographic Names.
