UPDATE: 7.5.2007 - Online link from image not working properly; has been disabled.
That’s the question fans of 101.1 WYDE-FM are asking this morning as noise or Christmas music fills the air as they tuned in this morning. A quick check of their website shows that the domain is being changed to Fun101radio.com.
UPDATE: The "fun" starts on Thursday morning
It appears that many did not expect this change today, although several people were upset about the last broadcast of the Home Show on Saturday, who actually announced the change in a news posting on their site.
The new format is rumored to be oldies rock ‘n roll. The image pictured is the new logo. We’ve activated the logo so that when you click on it you will be taken to the online stream of the new station whenever it decides to begin broadcasting. There is no stream as of this time.
UPDATE: The online signal is not working as of right now.

Thanks for posting, Andre! Do we know what is to become of the FM talk format? New channel? I’ve participated in afternoon jock, Matt Murphy’s program daily on the way home. Lee Davis was my companion on the way to work.
New channel?

I can’t believe they did this. I listened to them every day…….THis station has a very bad habit of doing things with out telling anyone. I hate that. I know it’ s none of my business but they could warn us.
They wouldn’t play replays but continued to play Barons Baseball. Now not even Barons baseball.
I and others hate the music format and I WILL NOT listen to it. I like TALD RADIO AND will find another station. This morning I found John Boy and Billie.
With this format 101.1 will not be around for long. I just feel bad for Lee Davis and Matt Murphy.
Oh yeah if you want to hear the “ATTACK MACHINE” tune into 770 AM 6am-9am in Athens Al.
