Yes, he really is counting to 1 million online

June 19th, 2007 by Andre Natta · 5 Comments

Jeremy Harper - courtesy of Myspace profileJeremy Harper, a Birmingham, Alabama resident,  is counting to one million (1,000,000) and broadcasting it live via webcam.

He’s somewhere around 16,500 as of 2:15 p.m.

You may be asking why someone would do this; in Harper’s case it’s for a good cause.

Half of the donations being made to the site will be given to PUSH America, a 30-year old non-profit organization dedicated to making the lives of people with disabilities easier. It is associated with Pi Kappa Phi.

You can watch him as he attempts to reach his goal at http://www.millioncount.com.

You can also try and follow his efforts on his blog.

We happened to overhear that he is already close to exceeding the allotted bandwidth he has available to him. He is still seeking donations to help offset costs.

We’ll try to keep up with him as best we can.

Will half of the donations made be tax-deductible?  Will donors be sent receipts for the donations?  This doesn’t sounds legit.

[...] until he counts to a million. Live on the internet. Watch him here. Read a little about it here or here. I find it odd and interesting. Enough even that I have considered buying an ad on his bathroom [...]

He is currently around 950,000. He should finish around 6:30 on Friday September 14th. He has changed the donations to be either 100% to PUSH or100% to offset costs. It is your choice. PUSH is 100% Tax deductable. He does alot more than count. Check out the Forums if you visit http://www.millioncount.com
