The Birmingham Change Fund has five days left to raise $1,200 and it’s seeking your help to get there.
The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham has partnered with the six-year old giving circle to help “increase the amount of new philanthropic dollars from the African American community.”
The organization recently saw a change in leadership as long-time chair Lyord Watson was succeeded by Projects Unlimited vice president Ed Fields.
We last featured BCF last April as they celebrated their fifth anniversary by awarding grants to four area nonprofits.
People are encouraged to give between now and December 31, 2010 or until the goal is reached. BCF will match donations up to up to $600 invested in the fund until then. Their new e-newsletter’s got additional information about how to take part in this effort.
