Wes Frazer, an incredible local photographer, has been a staunch (and sometimes vocal) supporter of this site since its inception. If you didn’t click that last link, then you need to check out his stuff on Flickr.
We’re hoping that by sharing this bulletin (after the jump) that was sent out via MySpace profile yesterday by The Bottletree that we can help him get back in the saddle again when the event happens next month:
Hey guys,
Bottletree is holding an art auction at next month, either on December 7th or 15th, to benefit our dear friend, Wes Frazer, and I need your help.
You may or may not be aware, but Wes’s home was the target of a robbery this past September. The persons involved took all of his photography equipment leaving Wes, a freelance photographer, in quite a bind. I had asked Wes what would help him out the most and he stated that cash we be the greatest benefit. Being that most of us are limited on what we can offer to him financially, we’re seeking to collectively maximize the impact and the immediate solution seems to be to work with you, the artist community and Wes’s confreres.
Please let me know if you can help by donating a work of your art to auction off. Together we can help Wes, a dear friend to us all and a talented artist, regain his livelihood after this most unfortunate occasion.
Best,
Tina P.
