Tomorrow Tuxedo Junction will be jumping with the sights and sounds of the 22nd annual Function at The Junction festival in Ensley. The festival is named for the Erskine Hawkins hit that serves as the unofficial song for the city of Birmingham. Click here to view the festival schedule as of July 24.
The organizers of the festival are still celebrating a recent $25,000 grant that will allow portions of Ensley and the Nixon Building adjacent to Erskine Hawkins Park to be listed as a national landmark historic district.
The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. with performances going all day until 10 p.m.
