\"September2014Visitors to Church Street Coffee and Books<\/a> in Mountain Brook’s Crestline Village may notice a new display next to the counter. Organizers of TEDx<\/sup>Birmingham<\/a> formally announced a partnership with the popular bookstore<\/a>\u00a0early Monday morning. \u00a0“Ideas Worth Reading” will be a monthly reading list curated by TEDx<\/sup>Birmingham speakers, with those recommended titles being featured in-store.<\/p>\n

The current selection is courtesy of\u00a0\u00a0Graham Boettcher<\/a>, the chief curator at the Birmingham Museum of Art<\/a>; Chris Hastings<\/a>, owner and executive chef of\u00a0the Hot and Hot Fish Club<\/a>;\u00a0Jan Mattingly<\/a>,\u00a0founder and chief education officer at Dynamic Education Adventures<\/a>; and Laura Kate Whitney<\/a>, co-founder of Dogtrot Studio<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The three-year old\u00a0coffee house\/bookstore’s co-owner, Cal Morris<\/a>, shared with us last week that they’d\u00a0also agreed to set up shop at\u00a0TEDx<\/sup>Birmingham’s February 28 event, titled “Move Mountains,”<\/a>\u00a0to be held once again at the Alys Stephens Center per a report on AL.com from late June<\/a>. Tickets for their September 15 salon, “Ripples,”<\/a> will be made available starting today (September 2) at 12 p.m<\/del> are now sold out, though there is a waitlist available via the same link.<\/p>\n
