After all, he did kick off Saturday&#8217;s set of performances at this year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/hangoutmusicfest.com\/\">Hangout Music Festival<\/a> in Gulf Shores.<\/p>\n<p>Well, the best way to top that experience is to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americansongwriter.com\/2011\/05\/alabama-song-a-qa-with-jon-black\/\">get interviewed by American Songwriter at the festival<\/a>. They also do <a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/24125986\">a video interview<\/a> &#8211; and a video performance of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/24130725\">My Love Is With You All The Time<\/a>&#8221; &#8211; that they post to their website.<\/p>\n<p>Then he gets to pen <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.al.com\/birmingham-box-set\/2011\/05\/the_artists_perspective_jon_bl.html\">a personal account about his experience at the Hangout over on Carla Jean Whitley&#8217;s Birmingham Box Set<\/a> just hours after the magazine&#8217;s post goes live (<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.al.com\/birmingham-box-set\/2010\/05\/birmingham_musician_jon_black.html\">he&#8217;d been interviewed for the blog<\/a> just before the festival).<\/p>\n<p>He was also able to talk about the song he wrote for <a href=\"http:\/\/musicforalabama.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-wind-will-carry-the-voice-of-the-people\">The <em>Wind<\/em> Will Cary The Voice of The People<\/a>,\u00a0the compilation created in the wake of the April 27 tornadoes (with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dualtone.com\/current_artists\/jon_black\">The newest member of the Dualtone Music Group<\/a> also has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whoisjonblack.com\/\">a digital 45 available on his site<\/a>. The cost?
