{"id":1063,"date":"2009-04-15T14:56:26","date_gmt":"2009-04-15T20:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bhamterminal.com\/timetable\/?p=1063"},"modified":"2009-04-15T14:56:26","modified_gmt":"2009-04-15T20:56:26","slug":"new-restaurants-open-birmingham-280","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/bhamterminal.com\/timetable\/2009\/04\/15\/new-restaurants-open-birmingham-280\/","title":{"rendered":"More new restaurants open on 280"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Bogue's Restaurant\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/xabbu\/3429645252\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-left: 5px;margin-right: 5px;float: left\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3367\/3429645252_6702eb0489_b.jpg\" alt=\"Bogue's Restaurant\" width=\"175\" height=\"131\" \/><\/a>As far as we can tell, Birmingham&#8217;s restaurant industry has chosen not to participate in the current recession.\u00a0<a title=\"Tilted Kilt opening soon on Hwy 280 - 4.3.2009\" href=\"http:\/\/bhamterminal.com\/timetable\/2009\/04\/03\/tilted-kilt-opening-soon-on-280\/\">Two weeks ago we told you about the new Tilted Kilt pub opening in the old Copeland&#8217;s building<\/a>; now I&#8217;ve noticed a few more restaurants opening including the opening of a new <a title=\"Bogue's - BhamWiki\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bhamwiki.com\/w\/Bogue's\">Bogue&#8217;s Restaurant<\/a> along Hwy 280, joining locations on Clairmont Avenue and Oxmoor Road.<\/p>\n<p>Bogue&#8217;s is one of Birmingham&#8217;s oldest restaurants and is known for its great meat and veggie-style comfort food. The new location on Hwy. 280 next to Chipotle Grill in Inverness.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Saigon Noodle House\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/xabbu\/3409835160\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left;margin-left: 5px;margin-right: 5px\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3342\/3409835160_193f801a38_o.jpg\" alt=\"Saigon Noodle House\" width=\"175\" height=\"117\" \/><\/a>The other new opening is the <a title=\"Saigon Noodle Houes - UrbanSpoon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanspoon.com\/r\/45\/1436650\/restaurant\/Cahaba-Inverness\/Saigon-Noodle-House-Birmingham\">Saigon Noodle House<\/a> that recently opened in the Best Buy\/World Market shopping center on 280. I hope these guys aren&#8217;t hit with the curse of that particular leasing space, because it looks promising! Three restaurants that have occupied that space have closed down in the past few years.<\/p>\n<p>I spite of the recent recession, we continue to see 2-hour waits, packed parking lots, and new restaurants popping up all over Birmingham.
