Have you ever heard of the Berkley Marathons? Well, while we’re thinking that you won’t be running 60 or 100 miles, we do think you’ll love this opportunity to explore Ruffner Mountain at night while taking part in an event that’s part-run, part-scavenger hunt and all fun.

Headlamps and flashlights are encouraged – it is starting at 6:30 p.m. after all.

This evening you’ll have 3 1/2 hours to use your knowledge of Ruffner’s history and terrain to finds books hidden on the mountain (some on the trail, some slightly off trail), snag the page that corresponds with your bib number and return to the Treetop Visitors Center. The first to arrive back with all (or the most) specified pages and win the grand prize.

The night will end with awards, hot chili and cold beverages. They’ve set up a race registration link on RaceIt with much more information.
