		<description>I&#039;ll say that if your major take away from this post is an embattled plea to build a multipurpose facility, then you missed the point.

But I will point out that except for the pending financial crisis holding up the continued development of the Renaissance project downtown, there are several hotels under construction or preparing to open in the coming months - in part because of what could happen if Birmingham does expand its offering for large events of any type in any of the ways that it can happen.

Plus I&#039;m hoping that one of those new hotels gives me a chance to bring home a steady paycheck again in the coming months...</description>
