The mayor’s office announced a discussion with new Birmingham mayor William Bell to take place today (February 4) at Urban Standard beginning at 12 p.m.

We were just wondering what you’d ask him to consider a top priority for his administration if you had the chance. Share your questions down below.

P.S. If you are heading over there today, we’d suggest calling in your order ahead of time today – it’ll save you some time and take some stress off the folks in the back.

Where are efforts of goodwill from local college sports teams?

This question comes from last night’s abbreviated #bhamchat on Twitter. The focus of the conversation was on the amount of coverage that local college sports teams (read NOT Alabama or Auburn) get in Birmingham, AL. It was part of a response received from one of the participants that wondered if local teams made themselves visible enough in the community. Even though it’s football season the question applies to all of the sports that take the field.
