Do you like the new WBHM programming schedule?

We just posted about their upcoming fundraising campaign and their new programming schedule… what do you think about it?

Let’s hear ‘em!

Sounds like a loser to me. Especially adding more of Diane Rehm (only slightly less annoying than Nancy Grace). The last time I mentioned her show, I was invited to try her show again. I have to admit that I liked it (there were guest hosts), then she returned and there went my following. We were in Mobile several weeks ago and had the opportunity to listen to WHIL, the public radio station there. It reminded me of the “good old days” of WBHM with the same Morning Edition schedule, classical music during the day AND TRAFFIC information then All Things Considered in the afternoon. From my standpoint, every recent change has brought my listening of WBHM down. Once Diane Rehm comes on in the morning, the station gets changed and it is hard to remember to come back.

I think WBHM is doing a good job with their broadcasting selections. Remember a couple of years ago when all they played was classical music all day? That was like living in the dark age. Anything, like this, that brings Birmingham more in touch with the world is a positive as far as I am concerned.

I certainly miss the music in the evening.
