It’s that time of year where we long to be outside looking for things to do… with one festival down and several more on the horizon, we’re wondering which one do you enjoy the most…
What’s your favorite Birmingham festival?

City Stages is probably the only festival I attend regularly. They always have bands that I want to see or have heard about and want to check out for the first time.
Magic City Art Connection and Art Walk are also fun events, but I don’t make it out to them every year.
That’s a really, REALLY tough call. Right now Magic City Art Connection, Magic City Brewfest and City Stages are on my mind because of where we are in the calendar year. But I also LOVE Artwalk, Brookside’s Five Mile Creek Greenway Festival and certainly many others that are slipping my mind right now.
Don’t forget Do Dah Day, so much fun!
magic city art connection
brewfest
artwalk
love ‘em all!
i want to love city stages but the older i get the less i do.
The Improv Festival is the most unique festival in Birmingham. I’m not able to explain how important, amazing, and groundbreaking it is. Music, Performance, Dance, etc…It should hopefully come back out of the shadows soon.

The Raindrop Festival is a really good local music festival. Sidewalk is a good film festival. Artwalk and Magic City are both good
DO DAH DAY!
ArtWalk on Morris Avenue. Good fellowship, art and civilized visitors to the loft area.
Artwalk! I always enjoy the Sidewalk Film Fest. As far as Music Fests go, I would say that some of the best to embody the spirit of the B’ham music scene have occured at the Bottletree and Cave 9.
Sidewalk film festival and Artwalk are my favorites
tough question: i’m an avid city stages and do dah day fan. sidewalk holds dear memories for me (husband is a screenwriter. who isn’t?) as well as art in avondale park.
ONB Magic City Art Connection is the one of the BEST ART FESTIVALS in the Southeast and kicks off the Bham festival season! They just celebrated their 25th anniversary this past April 25-27. There is no event like it in Birmingham for contemporary art, great food & wine from top restaurants, live music, cool dance performances, over 30 workshops for kids and adults, and plain old fun. If you haven’t been, you have to experience the magic the last full weekend in April in Linn Park. Tell your friends…
Rain Drop Festival: benefits the Hulsey Little River Trust, whose mission is to preserve and protect the Little River watershed. The trust was formed in late 2006 to honor Shane Hulsey, a passionate environmentalist and kayaker who had a special love for the Little River Canyon, where he lost his life in a boating accident. The subsequent outpouring of love inspired friends and family to take action to bring about some good from his tragic and untimely death. We hope you’ll help us honor his memory and protect one of Alabama’s most spectacular natural places!
