I think of exchange, give and take, how ‘hubs’ bring spokes to a focal point, but also of development on ideas, of sub-plots, and how hubs can’t exist with out the spoke counterparts.
I imagine a local pub, a booth at a diner, just down the block, half regulars, half newcomers, talking about what’s on their and each others minds.
Honestly? Grim faces at a round conference table in an eerily lit room, something like the War Room in “Dr. Strangelove.”
I suppose I’ve been burned by enough Internet forums to feel skeptical about them. Without careful moderation they amplify the voices of the most unstable and self-important personalities. The Internet often gives such people permission to, in effect, stand on a conference table and scream, without having to answer for the consequences.

When I hear hub… I think of wheels and spokes and things turning around - perhaps in the form of ideas and thoughts and solutions…

The hub is the one place the spokes point toward to find their center.
