Kind of tough to answer. Either of the Legend of Zelda or Super Mario Brothers series will suffice. Tetris is an all-time favorite, but for right now it’s all Halo 3. Not saying it’s the best ever, just my favorite for the moment.
That SEEMS like an easy questions, but I have trouble with it.
The one game that I continue to play, on occasion, after all of these years is Ms. Pac-Man. I love finding the old arcade machines in weird places. I think the last time I spotted one was in a movie theater somewhere is deceptively simple and infinitely replayable.
Other than that, the original Super Mario Bros. has to be my favorite. I still play it today.
My top 3, in reverse order are #3, the original STAR WARS game in the arcade where we flew X-fighters down the trench of the Death Star… #2, the arcade version of TRON… and #1, the XBOX version of Battlefront II — even my teenage daughter loves to play it!

The Last Ninja, though Donkey Kong is a close second…

Mario Kart! The Super Nintendo version was my favorite, but I’ll take it in any incarnation.
