No matter what charity is your favorite, the premiere showing of “The Ultimate Gift” movie offers a chance for you do something special — and it’s FREE!
First, the event. Lighting up the screen on Monday, November 27, at 7 p.m. at the Alabama Theatre will be one of a select few national showings of a new feature film, “The Ultimate Gift,” based on the top-selling book by Jim Stovall.
You can request your ticket through any local nonprofit — or if they don’t know about the event, call the Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama.
Bring your family — this is the perfect opportunity to talk with your children — or your parents — about the importance of passing on a legacy of charity to the next generation.
The Alabama Planned Giving Council and the Financial Planning Association of North Alabama, with Bob Loftin, are presenting the event. The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham and 20 other sponsors have contributed in order to make the tickets FREE to anyone who is interested.
The cast features James Garner, Lee Meriwether, Brian Dennehy, Drew Fuller and Abigail Breslin (”Little Miss Sunshine”). As the wayward but caring grandson, Fuller captures the hardship and the challenges of finding his way in the face of his grandfather’s (Garner) legacy of hard work and wealth.
Experience the powerful message for yourself and keep the giving season going in your heart. Contact the Nonprofit Resource Center of Alabama or your favorite charity to make sure your seat is reserved. Contact NRCA by e-mail at nrca1@bellsouth.net.
