We’re getting a new coffee shop in metro Birmingham this spring using a local (and well loved) coffee roaster. We may also get some fans of the baristas depending on how long this meme lasts…

The new walkability scores from WalkScore.com for the state of Alabama are out. While Birmingham climbed a few spots up the list, its overall score didn’t. It also happened to coincide with the release of data taking a look at how much some of our residents are paying for gas per month. Yes, it’s a little disturbing.

Folks over in Homewood who frequent Camp Taco in Five Points South weren’t imagining things this weekend – that’s their logo on the old Qdoba. It looks like they’re expanding…
Despite what you may think, the Highway 280 Super Target location is within the city limits of Birmingham, AL. (one of five currently located in the metropolitan area). The news coming out of Homewood today though may give Magic City residents a shorter drive to get what they need.
