How did Birmingham fare on National Signing Day?

Yes, the last three BCS championship games were won by teams hailing from the state of Alabama – so there’s a good reason to be paying a lot of attention to them on National Signing Day. It’d be a shame though if we didn’t take a moment and at least acknowledge the institutions in the immediate metro Birmingham area that signed student-athletes on February 1.

It’s a new beginning for Birmingham-Southern College today as the institution’s Board of Trustees named retired U.S. Marine Corps commandant Gen. Charles “Chuck” C. Krulak its thirteenth president at a noon press conference.
