If you’re driving down 20th Street heading towards Southside today, you may notice a couple of small yellow signs up on lightpoles to your left as you approach Morris Avenue. If you were to stop and take a quick look, you’d be a little shocked by what they say:

First American Banks in the metro Birmingham area will become RBC Bank effective Monday morning. The bank is owned by Canada-based RBC Companies (a.k.a. the Royal Bank of Canada - yeah we had to think about it too). Current bankers will be able to use their new cards starting at 4 p.m. on Friday.
