Making 20th Street uniform

Those that were in downtown Birmingham last week may have noticed city crews working around traffic lights and light poles, particularly along 20th Street North. A Rainbow in Roebuck Springs

A rainbow graced the Birmingham area this morning. At times it formed a faint second rainbow, but that one did not last long. The main rainbow lasted for more than a half an hour. The photo was taken looking southwest toward downtown from the Roebuck area.

That would be based on a ruling made by the Supreme Court in Washington this morning (yes, that crew in Washington). They’ve ruled that Governor Riley did not have to get Federal approval to appoint a fellow Republican to a vacant spot on the Mobile County Commission.
